At FCDO Services, we protect the UK’s interests at home and overseas. We design and construct secure government buildings, courier diplomatic packages worldwide, safeguard government tech, and a whole lot more. Our work is as varied and vital as it gets, but we never lose sight of our people. Their skills, aspirations and growth mean as much as the global mission we're on. In our world, it all matters.
Our Knowledge and Information team has a wide range of responsibilities – these include reviewing and transferring records for preservation at The National Archives. The growth in digital records means the team are embracing the use of AI and other advanced technologies to tackle the complex challenges we face. The work is vital and protects the UK’s relations with other countries, as well as our defence interests, the intelligence services, and the personal data of individuals, all within a secure legal framework.
Preserving important records. Protecting secure data. Embracing new technologies.
It all matters.
Shape the way we use AI across our organisation Here, your role will involve more than content management. As we’ve continued our migration to M365, and the more our teams have adopted and adapted to SharePoint, we’ve realised there is more we can do. We can introduce more automation, AI and workflows to help with some of the more manual tasks. And, while we can use SharePoint to help with this, we need your expertise to make it happen.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
