The Opportunity
As an M365 Architect, you'll play a key role in defining and delivering the technical vision for our Digital Workplace platforms. Working across Microsoft 365, identity and device technologies, you'll help create secure, scalable and user-focused solutions that enable collaboration, productivity and business success across the organisation.
Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this role offers flexibility on location, and you can be based from anywhere in the UK. You'll influence strategic platform direction, shape engineering standards and provide technical leadership across enterprise-scale initiatives. Working at the heart of Enterprise IT, you'll support our journey towards An Electric Britain while helping deliver a future-ready digital workplace that empowers over 20,000 users.

- Strong technical leadership and experience across Microsoft 365, identity and device platforms
- Proven experience designing enterprise-scale solutions
- Strong understanding of security, compliance and governance
- Experience with DevOps, automation and configuration as code
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Working collaboratively with the wider Enterprise technology teams and business colleagues to create a great place to work
- Commitment to health, safety, wellbeing and environmental responsibilities while supporting a sustainable business
To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Clearance (SC), which will, ordinarily, require you to have British residency for the last five years.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading technical design and strategic platform direction across Microsoft 365, identity and device services
- Delivering secure, compliant and enterprise-scale solutions aligned with architecture and business objectives
- Defining engineering standards, technical policies and design guardrails across Digital Workplace platforms
- Mentoring Platform Engineers and acting as a senior technical escalation point for complex challenges
- Collaborating with architecture, security, product and operational teams to drive continuous improvement and platform excellence
