Microsoft 365 Architect – Permanent Role (Hybrid, Bristol)

About the Role

Following a period of significant investment in our technology and infrastructure, Osborne Clarke is expanding its IT Strategy & Architecture function. We are creating a dedicated Microsoft 365 Architect role to shape, mature, and maximise the value of our Microsoft 365 estate across the firm.

This architectural role will be pivotal in:

  • Defining and delivering our Microsoft 365 strategy, with a focus on Power Platform, SharePoint Online, collaboration architecture, AI enablement, data-driven productivity, and licensing value.
  • Ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategic priorities, particularly in AI, data, and digital productivity.

This is a permanent position offering hybrid working from our Bristol office.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Solution Design

  • Design and architect end-to-end Microsoft 365 solutions, with a focus on SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and collaboration services.
  • Lead SharePoint Online tenant governance, including information architecture, hub sites, site structures, metadata, permissions, content lifecycle, and global navigation.
  • Develop and maintain governance blueprints, reference architectures, and best-practice patterns for Microsoft 365 services.
  • Act as Technical Design Authority for Microsoft 365 and Power Platform initiatives, providing clear architectural guidance.
  • Collaborate with Cyber Security, Operations, and Applications teams to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant solutions.
  • Support modern workplace architecture (e.g., Teams, Intune, Windows 365) to ensure alignment with the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

Power Platform & AI Enablement

  • Define and mature firm-wide Power Platform architecture, including Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, and Power Pages.
  • Establish standards for solution design, environment governance, data connections, and lifecycle management.
  • Champion automation, workflow optimisation, and AI-driven productivity improvements.
  • Support scalable, governed low-code/no-code solutions to enhance business efficiency.
  • Safely enable Copilot Studio and AI-driven automation, balancing governance and business value.

AI, Data & Value Realisation

  • Align Microsoft 365 architecture with AI and data strategy, promoting secure and effective adoption.
  • Identify opportunities to maximise licensing value, including underutilised features and automation.
  • Develop roadmaps for investment return from Microsoft 365 and Power Platform capabilities.
  • Use usage insights to refine and prioritise Microsoft 365’s role in transforming business outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
