M&A Analyst 1 or 2 – Tech Team
£65,000 – £75,000 Plus Bonus
I'm working with a boutique advisory firm looking for a driven, commercially minded M&A Analyst to join their growing technology-focused team.
About the Role
As an M&A Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting transaction execution and strategic advisory projects across the technology sector. You’ll collaborate closely with senior dealmakers, investors, founders, and corporate clients across the entire transaction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial analysis, valuation modelling, and market research
- Prepare investment memoranda, pitch decks, and client presentations
- Support both buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions
- Analyse technology market trends and competitive landscapes
- Assist with due diligence coordination and data room management
- Build and refine financial models (DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions)
- Engage with clients, investors, and external advisers during live deals

Requirements
Essential
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Expert-level Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
- High attention to detail with exceptional organisational skills
- Commercial interest in the technology sector
- Proven communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Desirable
- Previous experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance
- Qualifications such as ACA, CFA, or ACCA (or in progress)
