Role Description
The M&A Consulting Partner is a remote, contract role responsible for leading and executing M&A advisory projects for clients in the energy and mining sectors. Day-to-day tasks include developing deal strategies, managing due diligence processes, analyzing financial and operational performance, and advising clients on valuation, structure, and negotiation of transactions. The role involves collaborating with client leadership teams, coordinating with internal and external specialists, and preparing clear, data-driven reports and presentations. The Partner will also support business development by identifying new opportunities, contributing to proposals, and building long-term client relationships.

- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex data and provide clear, actionable insights.
- Finance and investments expertise, with experience in valuation, capital structure, and transaction modeling.
- Hands-on due diligence experience, including financial, operational, and strategic assessments.
- Solid accounting knowledge, with the ability to understand financial statements and key performance indicators.
- Proven experience in M&A advisory, consulting, or corporate development, ideally in energy or mining.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Advanced degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field is preferred; relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are an advantage.
