Intelance is an enterprise architecture, AI governance and cyber resilience consultancy. We support large, complex organisations through transformation, integration and change. We are building our associate bench of senior M&A integration specialists to support clients with high-volume, high-variety deal pipelines. This is an associate / contract engagement with the potential to be long-term and ongoing, with work rotated to keep delivery fresh.
Tasks
You will lead and support integration activity across the full deal lifecycle, often across several concurrent deals. Typical work includes:
- Leading or supporting M&A integration across multiple concurrent workstreams
- Owning integration plans, and managing risks, issues, dependencies, actions and decisions (RAID)
- Supporting technology and operational due diligence, and flagging process, system and operating-model risks early
- Working across business, technology, finance, HR, legal, operations and change teams
- Coordinating Day 1 readiness and post-deal implementation
- Helping acquired businesses align to shared platforms, processes and governance
- Bringing structure and momentum where ownership is unclear or progress has stalled
- Translating integration strategy into practical, day-to-day delivery
- Capturing lessons learned and strengthening repeatable integration capability

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
