About the Role
Valsoft acquires and nurtures software businesses, providing mission-critical solutions. With our founding in 2015, we’ve acquired over 100 businesses and now employ over 4,000 professionals across 20+ countries. This internship offers a clear career pathway—progressing from intern to M&A Leader within a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Origination (60%)
- Independently source and identify software investment opportunities.
- Build and maintain a robust deal pipeline.
Deal Execution Support (20%)
- Perform financial modelling and commercial due diligence.
- Conduct financial and commercial analysis.
Business Development (20%)
- Travel across Europe to meet and engage with potential investment targets.
- Foster and develop strong industry relationships.

Ideal Candidate Requirements
- Currently pursuing or have recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with company valuation methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling tools.
- Passionate about software and investment sectors.
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
