In-House Senior Tax Manager – Deals/M&A
Location: London
Salary: £125,000–£145,000 + Bonus + Package
We are supporting a financial services group/investment manager that is looking to hire a Senior Tax Manager into its team. This role will focus on M&A activity, international tax advisory work, and financing projects.
We are keen to speak with candidates who have a strong track record in transaction tax. You may currently be working in practice and considering a move in-house, or you may have already made the transition.
We are open to a range of transaction tax backgrounds. Experience within financial services or private equity would be advantageous; however, we would also be interested in speaking with individuals who have worked on large corporate transactions within sectors such as energy, infrastructure, or other complex deal environments.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
