About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team at Guidant Global. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end development, deployment, and optimization of machine learning solutions that address complex business challenges. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders, to translate data-driven insights into actionable outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate sophisticated concepts to non-technical audiences. Qualifications
- Proven experience at a senior practitioner level as a Machine Learning Engineer, AI Engineer, or in a similar role.
- Strong expertise in applied mathematics, statistics, and scientific methodologies.
- Proficiency in Python programming, including frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Experience in evaluating models through quantitative analysis and structured experimentation.
- Solid software engineering practices, including writing clean, testable, and maintainable code.
- Hands-on experience integrating machine learning solutions into production environments and workflows.
- Comfort working within secure, regulated, or high-assurance environments, adhering to governance and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of machine learning projects, from problem definition to experimentation, evaluation, and deployment.
- Develop, validate, and deploy machine learning models into production systems, ensuring scalability and robustness.
- Apply statistical, mathematical, and scientific principles to formulate hypotheses and assess model uncertainty.
- Design and conduct experiments to evaluate model performance, behaviour, and user impact.
- Work with real-world, imperfect data sourced from operational systems and workflows.
- Integrate machine learning components seamlessly into broader software and data platforms.
- Balance rigorous scientific methodology with pragmatic delivery to produce effective solutions.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in technical reviews, design discussions, and provide constructive peer feedback to ensure quality standards are maintained.
