Machine Learning Engineer
A high-growth scale-up based near Birmingham is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer with expertise in generative AI, LLMs, or machine learning.
This role is at the forefront of national security innovation, working within a R&D team to collaborate with industry partners and translate ideas into production-ready, market-leading solutions.
About the Role
Ideal for a software engineer with:
- 2+ years of commercial experience in catheter technologies and a preparedness for broad-ranging problem solving
- A passionate interest in AI/ML innovation
- Desire for a collaborative, autonomous working environment with end-to-end project exposure

Key Responsibilities & Skills
Technical Requirements
Primary skills and experience in:
- Software engineering with proficiencies in:
- Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js
- Best-edge AI/ML specialities, including:
- PyTorch, TensorFlow, LlamaCPP, Keras
- Database exposure:
- PostgreSQL, MongoDB, CosmosDB
- Cloud exposure, with preference for AWS (all considered)
- Experience in R&D environments or small technical teams
Soft Skills & Culture

Starting Salary
- Up to £80,000 DoE
