About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of machine learning solutions that address complex business challenges. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and stakeholders, to develop, validate, and deploy models into production environments. Your expertise will be crucial in designing experiments, evaluating model performance, and ensuring the seamless integration of machine learning components into broader data platforms and operational workflows. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-autonomy environment, demonstrating strong technical acumen, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience at a senior practitioner level as a Machine Learning Engineer, AI Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in applied mathematics, statistics, and scientific methodologies.
  • Expertise in Python programming, including experience with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate models through quantitative evidence, structured experimentation, and performance metrics.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including writing readable, testable, and maintainable code.
  • Experience integrating machine learning solutions into production systems and workflows.
  • Comfort working within secure, regulated, or high-assurance environments, ensuring compliance with security and governance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle of machine learning projects, from problem definition and data collection to experimentation, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Develop, validate, and optimize machine learning models suitable for deployment in real-world environments.
  • Apply statistical, mathematical, and scientific thinking to formulate hypotheses, assess uncertainty, and interpret model results.
  • Design and execute experiments to evaluate model behavior, performance, and impact on end-users.
  • Work with operational data, often imperfect or incomplete, to build robust and reliable models.
  • Integrate machine learning components into larger software and data platforms, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
  • Balance methodological rigor with pragmatic delivery, ensuring solutions are proportionate to business needs.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Participate in technical reviews, design discussions, and peer challenges to uphold high standards and foster continuous improvement.
