Machine Learning Engineer

Machine Learning Engineer (AI Data Trainer)

About The Role

What if your technical expertise could directly shape how the world's most advanced AI systems learn to reason, plan, and solve real problems? We're looking for Machine Learning Engineers to work alongside leading AI research teams — creating the structured reasoning traces that teach large language models how to think step by step.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. If you have a strong background in machine learning or computer science and can articulate complex technical logic with clarity, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact on the future of AI.

Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

  • Author clear, structured reasoning traces to capture how an AI should plan, decide, and act across complex technical tasks
  • Document step-by-step decision-making processes, including:
    • Tool use
    • Logical branching
    • Error recovery
  • Create high-quality training data demonstrating effective, reliable problem-solving in real-world scenarios
  • Evaluate and improve AI decision-making workflows for:
    • Accuracy
    • Coherence
    • Completeness
  • Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments, fully aligned to your schedule

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
