About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join Baringa Partners in a strategic role focused on designing, developing, and deploying advanced machine learning solutions. In this position, you will be instrumental in leading end-to-end ML projects, from initial conception through data preparation, model development, evaluation, deployment, and ongoing monitoring. Your expertise will help clients harness the power of AI and ML to optimize their operations, improve decision-making, and innovate within their industries. You will also play a vital role in establishing ML Ops frameworks, guiding clients through their AI journey, and ensuring best practices are embedded within their infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with diverse clients, providing strategic advice and technical delivery to solve complex business problems using state-of-the-art AI technologies.

Qualifications

  • An advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solid foundation in classical machine learning, deep learning, and statistical analysis.
  • Proficiency in building machine learning models and pipelines using Python and popular ML/DL libraries such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Hands-on experience deploying ML solutions on modern frameworks, ensuring scalability and robustness.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) in a production environment, including familiarity with ML platforms like AWS Sagemaker or Azure Machine Learning Studio.
  • Knowledge of MLOps practices, including version control, CI/CD, testing, and API design.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in teams and engage effectively with clients.
  • A passion for continuous learning and developing both personal and team skillsets.

Responsibilities

  • Define, develop, and implement machine learning projects across the entire lifecycle, from initial conception to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
  • Establish and develop ML Ops frameworks and standards, embedding them within client infrastructure to ensure operational excellence.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their business needs, translating these into effective AI-driven solutions.
  • Perform maturity assessments of clients’ Cloud/AI environments, providing strategic recommendations for improvements.
  • Build comprehensive ML strategy blueprints and advise clients on technology options aligned with their business goals.
  • Assist clients in transitioning from on-premises systems to modern cloud-based infrastructures such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Develop and implement policies around ML model governance, including fairness, transparency, interpretability, and accountability.
  • Identify potential risks in ML and data science programs, proposing mitigation strategies to ensure project success and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain scalable ML solutions, adhering to best practices in software engineering.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote knowledge sharing within the organization.
