About The Role

We are seeking a talented Machine Learning Engineer to join Autodesk Research. In this role, you will work closely with a team of world-class researchers and engineers to develop and implement innovative ML-powered features that enhance Autodesk's product offerings. Your primary focus will be on building scalable machine learning pipelines, prototypes, and reusable code to support research initiatives and product development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to projects at the intersection of research and practical application, leveraging your expertise to solve complex problems related to 3D geometry, data processing, and generative AI. The role can be based at our offices in London, UK, or Toronto, Canada, with a hybrid working model that promotes collaboration and flexibility.

Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in machine learning
  • Experience in scaling machine learning training and data pipelines
  • Proficiency in computational geometry and geometric methods, including mesh or B-Rep models
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems, reproducibility practices, and deploying ML models
  • Strong background in data modeling, architecture, and processing across various data representations, including 2D and 3D geometry
  • Experience working with cloud services and architectures such as AWS or Azure
  • Proficiency with modern deep learning frameworks and libraries like PyTorch, HuggingFace, and Ray
  • Excellent documentation skills, capable of clearly documenting code, architectures, and experimental results

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a diverse, global team of researchers and engineers on projects that bridge research and product development
  • Support research initiatives by constructing ML pipelines, prototypes, and developing reusable, testable code
  • Process and analyze data, including feature extraction and data modeling for 2D and 3D geometries
  • Identify and analyze errors in models and processes, and develop solutions to improve performance and accuracy
  • Present research findings, progress, and results to stakeholders, including leadership and collaborators
  • Assist in deploying machine learning models into production environments, ensuring scalability and reliability
