The Opportunity
Our client is an expanding technology firm addressing complex, high-stakes data challenges within highly regulated sectors. They specialize in building intelligent applications that process massive volumes of real-time data, frequently deploying software to remote, resource-constrained environments with strict power and bandwidth limitations.
We are seeking an engineer to bridge the gap between initial algorithmic models and dependable, deployment-ready software. If you want to build resilient systems that operate in critical, real-world environments, this team is the right fit.
What You’ll Do
- System Integration: Turn advanced analytical concepts into stable, scalable, operational software pipelines.
- Cross-Functional Delivery: Partner with researchers, developers, and product owners to deliver critical software features.
- Engineering Standards: Write clean, test-driven Python code, championing modern software practices within a scientific development environment.
- Technical Translation: Explain algorithmic frameworks and capabilities clearly to non-technical stakeholders and client teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
