AI/ML Engineer
Fully remote, global. Any time zone. Fluent English required.
Conquer AI deploys production-ready AI systems for FTSE 100, FTSE 250, and Fortune 500 clients. We're scaling fast. Every client programme needs someone who can build the model, ship it, and keep it running once real people depend on it.
The Reality of This Role
This isn't a notebook full of experiments. What you build has to run inside a live enterprise environment, under load, with a client watching the outcome rather than the code. You'll build and fine-tune models, design RAG pipelines, and get agentic systems from a working demo to something that holds up in production. When it breaks at 2 am in a client's time zone, you're the one who understands why.
What You'll Own
- Design and development of LLM and ML systems for client deployments
- RAG pipelines, vector search, and retrieval architecture
- Fine-tuning and evaluation of models against real production data
- Deployment, monitoring, and reliability once a model is live
- Agent architectures that go from proof of concept to dependable production systems
- Technical input into what's realistic to promise a client, and what isn't

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Comfortable with the production stack: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, model serving, and monitoring
- Experience with at least one major cloud ML platform (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, or Google Vertex AI)
- Fluent English, comfortable working async across a globally distributed team
Where You're Coming From
AI Engineer, ML Engineer, or Applied Scientist at a scale-up, tech giant, or AI consultancy. You've built things that worked in a demo. Now you want to build things that hold up in front of a board.
