Machine Operative
Machine Operative – Blow Moulding Department
We are currently recruiting Machine Operatives to join our Blow Moulding department, operating bottle supply equipment to achieve high standards of performance and support manufacturing operations.
This role places a strong emphasis on machine set-up, fault finding, and performance and would suit candidates with previous experience in a manufacturing environment, including machine or production roles.
Location & Conditions
- Location: Bellshill
- Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off – Days & Nights (7am–7pm / 7pm–7am)
- Salary: £29,290.59 per annum
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor bottle supply and de-bagging machinery
- Perform fault finding and respond promptly to equipment issues
- Complete traceability documentation and production records accurately
- Support changeovers and adjustments to minimise downtime
- Control bottle and film waste, including reprocessing where required
- Maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards at Grade A level
- Support manufacturing lines safely as required
- Report and escalate Health & Safety or quality concerns appropriately

What We’re Looking For
- Experience operating machinery within a manufacturing environment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, performance-driven approach
- Comfortable working a rotating shifts pattern (days & nights)
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety, Quality, and Hygiene standards

Base Salary: £31,434.94 per annum

Premium Pay Inclusions
- 1.25x for Saturdays
- 1.5x for Sundays
- 1.23x for unsociable hours (6pm–4am, Monday–Friday)
- 2x for public holidays (e.g., Christmas Day & New Year’s Day)
- 1.25x consolidated pay rate for overtime
