Machine Operator
Location: Chichester or Selsey Shift Patterns: Nights only, Days only or Rotational | Competitive Salary
We’re looking for a proactive and driven Machine Operator to join our fast-paced team at Natures Way Foods. In this hands-on role, you’ll be at the heart of our production process—ensuring our machinery runs smoothly, customer orders are met to high standards, and safety always comes first.
Shift Pattern
Fixed Days or Nights (7am–7pm / 7pm–7am) Work a 14-day roster over 28 days, with the following pattern:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
- Week 2: Wednesday & Thursday
Rotational Days and Nights (7am–7pm / 7pm–7am)
Work a similar 14-day block across 28 days:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
- Week 2: Wednesday & Thursday
Mondays–Thursday Night Shifts (Merston site only)
What You Get from Us
- Salary: £27,260 – £31,154 (based on hours worked)
- Shift allowances: £2,420 for night shifts / £1,100 for rotational days and nights

Responsibilities
- Operating specialised production machinery—ensuring efficiency, safety and effectiveness
- Supervising production operatives and agency staff on site
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety guidelines, reporting near misses, accidents, or incidents promptly
- Maintaining high-quality standards to meet customer order requirements
- Reporting Out of Spec Products, machinery issues, or non-conformances to the Line Manager
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in a factory or production environment
- A positive attitude
- Motivated and driven
- Willingness to learn and adapt
