Machine Operator – On-Site Role (Full-Time)
Location: Cotek Papers Limited, Draycott
About the Role
Cotek Papers Limited is a leading European manufacturer of specialist release paper and film, specialising in advanced two-side and differential silicone coatings using solvent-free coating technology. The company serves industries such as double-sided adhesive tape, hot melt adhesive packaging, sealants, composites, medical, automotive, personal hygiene, and graphic arts by delivering accurate and stable silicone release coatings on substrates including paper, PET, HDPE, metallised PET, PP, MOPP, and BOPP film.
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator to operate and monitor our specialist coating and converting machinery at our Draycott facility. This is a full-time, on-site role with opportunities for career growth in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and Monitor Production:
- Set up, operate, and oversee specialist coating and converting machinery to produce release paper and film products.
- Follow production schedules to meet output targets while ensuring continuity and efficiency.

Maintain Equipment & Work Areas:
- Perform basic equipment checks and preventive maintenance tasks, including minor adjustments using hand tools.
- Keep work areas clean and organised in accordance with company standards.

Quality Control & Inspection:
- Conduct visual and measurement-based quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
- Record production data accurately and report any equipment malfunctions or product defects promptly.

Collaboration & Compliance:
- Work closely with supervisors, maintenance teams, and colleagues to achieve output and quality standards.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols.
Easily adaptable to shifts and overtime when required.
Requirements & Skills
Essential Skills & Experience
- Practical experience in machine operation, particularly working with industrial machinery in a manufacturing setting.
- Quality control proficiency, including visual inspection and basic measurement techniques for precision.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with supervisors, maintenance teams, and teammates.
- Safe use of hand tools for routine machine adjustments and minor maintenance.
- Ability to follow written instructions, technical drawings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a safety-first mindset.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in production, packaging, converting, or related industrial roles.
- Basic numeracy and literacy, with an asset in vocational or technical qualifications (e.g., manufacturing, engineering).
- Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to technical advancements.
