Night Shift Machine Operator – Cookstown, Terex
Location: Cookstown, UK Hours of Work: 4-day week: Monday–Wednesday (3:45 pm – 2:15 am), Thursday (3:45 pm – 1:15 am)

Responsibilities
Your role will include but is not limited to:
Daily Machine Operation
- Set up, operate, and monitor Plasma and Laser cutting machines to achieve accurate steel cutting to specified tolerances
- Run cutting programs, inspect finished parts against technical drawings, and adjust process parameters where necessary
- Measure and verify products against quality requirements to ensure compliance
Production & Quality Standards
- Work efficiently on the production line to meet set targets while maintaining strict adherence to quality benchmarks
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify continuous improvement opportunities (lean manufacturing, efficiency enhancements)
Safety & Compliance
- Conduct daily safety checks on machinery to ensure full functionality and compliance with Health & Safety Regulations
- Maintain strict adherence to Terex’s Zero Harm culture and рисабочные (incident reduction) principles
Requirements
Essential
- Ability to work shift-based hours (night operation) with high energy and focus
- Attention to detail – precision in measurement, inspection, and process adjustments
- Strong team player attitude with excellent communication skills
- Open to development – willingness to learn and upskill over time

Preferred
- Previous experience operating cutting, machining, or manufacturing equipment (not compulsory, on-site training provided)
- Experience with CNC or automated production processes
- A production-oriented mindset and understanding of quality control
Flexibility & Soft Skills
- Availability for occasional overtime when operational needs require
- Commitment to safety-first philosophy and compliance with Terex’s best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude
