Slumberjack Coffee is a specialist coffee roaster and manufacturer providing premium roasted coffee, private-label solutions, and a range of vending ingredients including drinking chocolate, powdered milk, and instant coffee.
Role Description
This role is a full-time, on-site role based in Antrim, responsible for operating and maintaining coffee roasting and packaging machinery in a busy manufacturing environment. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Setting up machines
- Performing routine checks
- Monitoring production runs
- Adjusting equipment to ensure consistent quality and efficient output

The role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, carrying out repairs, and performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. The Machine Technician will collaborate with production and quality teams to meet safety, quality, and performance standards, accurately document maintenance activities, and follow all health and safety procedures on the factory floor.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
- Strong Machine Operation and Machinery handling skills for production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance skills to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient machine performance.
- Effective Troubleshooting skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical and technical issues promptly.
- Basic mechanical or electrical aptitude, with the ability to read equipment manuals and follow technical instructions.
- Good attention to detail, adherence to safety and hygiene standards, and the ability to work on their feet for extended periods.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, and be able to work flexible hours as required by production schedules.
