Breast Care Clinical Nurse Specialist Part-time (30 hours per week), Permanent Position

About the Role

The successful applicant will partner with existing post holders to take on a key leadership specialist role at a senior level, supporting the organisation in delivering breast cancer care for patients and their families.

This position requires an individual who thrives in high-challenge environments, is highly organised, and is motivated to contribute to service development through audits, peer reviews, and developing innovative initiatives. You will champion standards both locally and nationally while ensuring care aligns with the Trust’s core values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead collaboratively in developing and effectively delivering a specialist breast cancer nursing service, adapting to the evolving healthcare agenda.
  • Establish and maintain robust working relationships across:
    • Primary care
    • Secondary care
    • Tertiary care to ensure a coordinated patient pathway.
  • Provide specialist support to patients throughout:
    • Diagnostics
    • Treatment phases of breast cancer care.

Opportunity Overview

Bolton FT is seeking an experienced Breast Care Nurse to join their existing skilled nursing team within an expanded Breast Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT). Key attributes of the role include delivering a comprehensive care pathway incorporating:

  • Surgical interventions.
  • Oncological treatments.
  • Support for patients diagnosed with breast cancer.
