Location: Remote Contract Length: Three – Six Months IR35 Status: Outside IR35 Rate: Circa £600 Per Day
About the Role
I am working with a longstanding client who require an experienced Mainframe Automation Consultant to support a major automation migration programme.
The role is focused on converting existing OPS/MVS Rules and EXECs into BMC AMI Ops Automation, and the successful candidate will bring deep mainframe automation expertise, strong REXX development skills, and a proven track record delivering automation conversion projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Convert OPS/MVS Rules and EXECs into BMC AMI Ops Automation
- Review and optimise existing automation processes
- Develop and maintain REXX-based automation solutions
- Support the migration of critical operational workloads
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure a successful transition

Essential Skills
- Strong REXX development experience
- Hands-on experience with OPS/MVS and BMC AMI Ops Automation
- Proven automation conversion or migration experience
- Strong understanding of Mainframe environments
- Experience working with Rules and EXECs
Desirable
- Broad Mainframe automation expertise
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments
