About Beds & Bars

Beds & Bars is a leading operator of tourist accommodation and entertainment venues across Europe, with backpacker hostels, bars, and traditional British pubs in 12 cities across 8 countries. Our experience is built on four cornerstones: safety, security, fun, and value for money. Our motto, "Live Your Life," reflects our commitment to our team, guests, and customers who eat, drink, and party with us.

Job Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for both routine and emergency maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal operation of our facilities and equipment. This includes diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. The role spans guest rooms, bar and kitchen facilities, and outdoor areas. Adherence to safety guidelines and procedures is essential due to potential exposure to hazardous materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance on plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure equipment is in good working order.
  • Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues quickly and safely, ensuring repairs meet safety and operational standards.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Follow preventative maintenance schedules to reduce equipment downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure facilities comply with safety regulations and that equipment poses no risk to team members or guests.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with equipment and systems, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and inventory of spare parts and tools.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to minimize operational disruptions during maintenance tasks.
  • Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to emergency maintenance requests to prevent delays.
  • Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and equipment manuals.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
