About Evolito
Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, and General Aviation.
As well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high-integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.
Position Overview
As part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for a Maintenance and Calibration Engineer to be responsible for ensuring that all production equipment and industrial assets are effectively managed and maintained according to the manufacturing schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a calibration and maintenance strategy that covers all production equipment and GSE/tooling
- Take ownership of the critical spares process, including continuous improvements on spares management and planned preventive maintenance plans
- Engage in safety topics such as risk assessments, PUWER, LOLER, and safety audits
- Support the Manufacturing Engineering team to analyse impacts of change/modifications to equipment and industrial means
- Support the Production team to analyse and forecast the cost of production through monthly dashboard and working with planning and scheduling teams on medium to long term planning activities
- Work closely with the Production team and understand manufacturing pain points from the source
- Evaluating current and future industrial solutions and giving recommendations
- Support future facility and capital discussions on capital investment from a technical production perspective
- Ensure continuous monitoring and improvement of manufacturing efficiency
- Support process optimisation, maximizing value added with priority on critical path
- Adhere to and comply with the Business Management System requirements.

Skills and Experience Required

- Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent qualifications and experience
- Experience in a highly technical manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of tooling, tolerancing, and process controls
- Ability to support and plan for future opportunities/volumes, while having the ability to manage day-to-day activities
- Experience/ knowledge in lean manufacturing principles (VSM, etc.) and variance analysis (6 Sigma)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and their limitations
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance requirements and scheduling
- Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes
- Ability to work under pressure while managing conflicting demands against tight deadlines
- Instinctive problem-solving skills coupled with a sound analytical approach
- A flexible approach to work and the desire to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
- An ability to communicate complex and technical processes to diverse audiences, orally and in writing
- UK driving license and ability to travel.
