Role Description

The Maintenance and Equipment Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in West/Greater London, responsible for ensuring that all restaurant facilities, equipment, and systems operate safely and efficiently. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Scheduling and performing preventative maintenance
  • Coordinating repairs with internal teams and external contractors
  • Monitoring equipment performance to minimize downtime

The role involves:

  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records
  • Managing spare parts and inventory
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards

The Maintenance and Equipment Manager also:

  • Supports new equipment installations
  • Identifies opportunities to improve reliability and cost-effectiveness
  • Collaborates with restaurant leadership to prioritize maintenance needs and support smooth daily operations

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in facilities or equipment maintenance within hospitality, retail, or a similar multi-site environment.
  • Strong technical skills in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and kitchen equipment issues.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices related to building and equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to plan and manage preventative maintenance schedules and coordinate external service providers.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with restaurant managers and team members.
  • Proven organizational and time-management skills, including maintaining records, logs, and maintenance documentation.
  • Comfort working on-site across multiple locations in Greater London, with flexibility to respond to urgent maintenance needs.
  • Relevant vocational training or certifications in maintenance, engineering, or a related field are beneficial.
  • Experience implementing process improvements or cost-saving initiatives in maintenance operations is an advantage.
