Caterpillar is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our 42-month Multi-Skilled Maintenance Apprenticeship Programme. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will gain hands-on experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance, develop industry-recognised qualifications up to HNC level, and play a key role in keeping our advanced production facilities running efficiently. Role Details And Key Responsibilities
As a Multi skilled Maintenance apprentice you will follow a structured program and carry out appropriate training tasks required to attain a full multi skilled Maintenance apprenticeship, in Mechanical and Electrical engineering.
- Working with and learning from multi skilled maintenance engineers you will analyse, and fault find mechanical and electrical breakdowns quickly returning assets to service.
- You will carry out PPM schedules and complete work requests, project work and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Reactive and scheduled maintenance work is planned through the company's CMMS system.
- You will be involved with and support, project work that brings the latest industry technology into Caterpillar.
- As part of the 42 month program, you will be required to undertake extensive training both on the job and at college.
- You will be required to undertake academic qualifications to a minimum HNC level.

Required Skills And Behaviours
The entry requirements are Level 3 in Engineering
- GCSE grades 4/C and above in Maths, English and STEM subjects.
- Enthusiastic individuals with a flexible approach to their work and a keen desire to progress personally and build a long career in a multi skilled Maintenance role.
- An inquisitive and enquiring mind along with a desire to learn from others.
- Excellent problem solving skills, with a calm methodical approach to tasks.
- Good time management
- Excellent communication skills.

Salary: £24,924

About BCP
The Building Construction Products (BCP) division team is comprised of more than 9,000 employees—from assemblers and accountants to marketing professionals and engineers—we work in factories, warehouses, and offices all over the world.
We are responsible for the design, manufacturing, marketing and support of Caterpillar’s line of small, versatile construction machines and attachments for the commercial construction, residential construction, specialty trades, landscaping and agriculture industries. Products include small wheel loaders, compact wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, compact track loaders, mini hydraulic excavators, skid steer loaders, telehandlers and small track-type tractors.
