Apprentice – Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance

About the Role
We are offering a 6-year apprenticeship in either Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance, inclusive of further education leading to an HNC/HND in the relevant discipline.
You’ll join a fast-moving, technology-driven industry with opportunities limited only by your ambition.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with maintenance, repair, and servicing of mechanical or electrical equipment.
- Support senior engineers in troubleshooting and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Apply technical knowledge from HNC/HND studies to hands-on work on the plant floor.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines at all times.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and embrace new technologies.
- Demonstrate reliability, enthusiasm, and commitment throughout the 6-year programme.

Keys to Success
- Entry-level position with relevant licenses or training certifications (if applicable).
- Proficiency in basic analytical or technical processes.
- Ability to apply fundamental analytical and technical skills to routine tasks.
- Understanding of how assigned tasks contribute to team success and overall operations.
- Adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
- Effective communication and professional courtesy.
Requirements & Preferred Skills
Essential
-
Achieved or currently working towards:
- 4 National 5’s (or equivalent) grades A–C, with 2 STEM subjects required.
- 3 Highers, with 1 STEM subject required.
- Alternatively, currently studying or completed an HNC in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines.

0–1 year of relevant experience in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance.
