Manor Grange Care Home is a purpose-built 83-bed care home located in the Pinkhill area of Edinburgh, offering:

Role Overview
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the home remains:
- Safe
- Well-maintained
- Comfortable
This is a hands-on, varied role where your practical skills and attention to detail will have a direct impact on the daily experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks, including:
- Repairs (rooms, equipment, facilities)
- Basic electrical checks
- Installations
- General upkeep
- Ensure equipment and systems operate safely and efficiently
- Respond to issues promptly
- Support planned maintenance
- Follow health and safety procedures and compliance checks
- Maintain a well-organised, safe and welcoming environment
- Work independently and alongside the wider team

Job Details
- Salary: £14.06 per hour
- Contract: 37.5 hours per week
- Benefits:
- Paid PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) scheme membership
- Pension contribution (out-the-door option)
- Uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or a similar role
- Basic knowledge of:
- General repairs
- Electrical and building maintenance
- Ability to:
- Work independently
- Manage workload effectively
- Understanding of health and safety procedures
- Proactive, practical approach
- Reliable, organised, and problem-solving mindset
