As a Maintenance Assistant at Ashlynn Grange Care Home, you will ensure that all checks are complete while maintaining a safe, high-quality environment for residents, team members, and visitors.

About the Role
The Maintenance Assistant will collaborate closely with the Maintenance Operative to:
- Maintain a safe, pleasant environment for all residents and staff
- Work alongside wider teams to ensure strong leadership and service excellence
- Take ownership of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance tasks

Salary & Working Hours
- £12.71 per hour
- 35 hours per week, worked on a rota basis (Monday to Sunday)
Home Location
Bretton Gate, Peterborough, PE3 9UZ
Key Duties & Responsibilities

Decorations & Repairs
- Ensure the home is decorated to the highest standard
- Address and resolve snagging issues promptly

Minor Repairs & Maintenance
- Oversee minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, etc.)
- Maintain and repair electrical equipment and boiler systems as needed

Refuse & Waste Management
- Responsibility for maintaining the refuse area
- Safe removal of clinical waste and general rubbish

Equipment & System Inspections
- Conduct weekly, monthly, and annual tests of equipment and systems
Training, Skills & Experience Required
- Essential: Previous experience in similar maintenance roles
- Proficiency: Competent in Microsoft Office packages
- Strong: Written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills
