Clarence Park Residential & Nursing Care Home
Clarence Park Residential & Nursing Care Home is a well-established service in Weston-super-Mare, located close to the seafront and set within a characterful Victorian townhouse. Supporting up to 43 residents, the home provides high-quality nursing, respite, and palliative care within a calm, welcoming, and team-focused environment where staff can build meaningful relationships and make a genuine difference every day.
Maintenance Assistant Contract
- £13.73 per hour
- Contracted to 37.5 hours per week
- Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)
Role Overview
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a key role within a specialist complex care setting, supporting individuals with a range of complex physical and mental health needs by ensuring the environment remains safe, well-maintained, and comfortable at all times.
You will carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks across the building and grounds, including repairs, basic electrical checks, installations, and general upkeep. You will ensure equipment and systems are working safely and efficiently, responding promptly to issues and supporting planned maintenance.

Working independently and alongside the wider team, you will follow health and safety procedures, support compliance checks, and be mindful of working within an occupied care environment, ensuring tasks are completed safely and with minimal disruption.
Your role will contribute to maintaining a well-organised, safe, and welcoming environment at all times.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or a similar role
- Basic knowledge of general repairs, electrical, and building maintenance
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Understanding of health and safety procedures and safe systems of work
- A proactive, practical, and problem-solving approach
- Reliable, organised, and able to work within a care environment
