Holiday Inn High Wycombe is looking for a Maintenance Technician or similar maintenance hands role to join our team.
Description
Are you the kind of person who can fix and troubleshoot just about anything to ensure smooth operations in our hotels? We need hands-on maintenance support to cover troubleshooting, inspections, and maintenance activities across our our hotels and property in general. You'll ensure that properties remain visually exceptional, functional and serviced. You’ll work closely with our friendly onsite teams to ensure an excellent in-house and on guest service.
What You’ll Be Doing
- You'll task with routine maintenance tasks.
- You will identify maintenance requirements, prioritise and carry out repairs.
- You’ll be reacting to on-the-spot issues to keep up guest safety and all our hotel guests (and team) feel welcome, valued.
- Have a high level of attention to detail.
- Be able to resolve multiple tasks in a busy hotel environment.
- Deliver excellent service to guests.
- acting on both instructions and self-identifying ceiling failures, leaks, damaged assets, and other repairs to enhance guest experience and property maintenance.
- Manage a wide range of routine tasks such as repairs.
- Work with a team comprised of technicians in the field and divisional engineers working across estates.

About You
- Experience in, or an aptitude for, construction, woodworking, basic maintenance, electrical, and/or mechanical work is highly preferred.
- Understand that care goes into problem solving each time.
- Must have what it takes to excel in a busy, customer-oriented hotel environment.
- Experienced with handling ad hoc work and reporting tasks to your Direct Supervisor.
- No experience? No problem, we are happy to promote from within or offer apprenticeships for those interested.
