Maintenance Assistant / Handyman
Maintenance Assistant / Handyman - Full Time
The Copthorne Hotel London Gatwick is seeking an experienced Maintenance Assistant/Handyman - Full Time to join our Maintenance team. They will be responsible to maintain, repair services and equipment within the Hotel and grounds ensuring facilities are kept in operation and a safe working condition for our guests.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability
Key Responsibilities:
- To maintain and repair services and equipment within the Hotel and grounds
- To follow daily task list as issued by the Chief Engineer or Senior Shift Engineer
- Carry out maintenance request orders eg plumbing tasks, changing light bulbs, minor electricals
- To carry out PPM in all hotel areas, recognising faults and rectify them in a prompt and efficient manner
- Provide a friendly and professional service to all guests when around the public areas or in bedrooms
- Is responsible for the care and cleanliness of the Hotel engineering areas allocated i.e. workshop, plantrooms etc.
- To ensure compliance with relevant and current legislation at all times whilst at work eg Health & Safety Policy, Fire Regulations

Essential Skills Required:
- Plumbing and electrical skills advantageous
- Keen eye for detail and able to work alone
- Knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace
- A team player who can manage own workload
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends
