Our services are at the heart of every family and community in our region. Our Water Services team clean water to the highest standards, deliver it to millions of customers, and carefully manage our assets to ensure a reliable supply now and for future generations.
We are looking for a Maintenance Assurance Co-ordinator to play a key role in supporting the delivery of our Water Supply Maintenance Strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to help drive asset reliability, maintenance excellence, and continuous improvement across our water supply operations.
As a Maintenance Assurance Co-ordinator, you'll work closely with Area Maintenance Managers, Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) Engineers, operational teams, and key stakeholders to ensure maintenance activities are delivered safely, effectively, and in line with regulatory and business requirements. You'll help shift our maintenance approach from reactive to proactive, improving asset performance and operational resilience across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and review maintenance activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with maintenance standards and asset strategies.
- Monitor maintenance performance, including completion rates, backlog, deferrals, and cancellations, ensuring alignment with Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM), Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM), and statutory obligations.
- Maintain and assure the quality of asset and maintenance data, ensuring accurate records are captured within asset management systems.
- Support the development of data-driven insights through condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, and performance reporting.
- Work collaboratively with RCM Engineers and operational teams to align maintenance activities with operational priorities and asset criticality.
- Provide independent assurance of maintenance quality, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Support compliance with regulatory requirements and performance measures, providing assurance and reporting to leadership forums.
- Promote continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues, strengthening asset knowledge, and embedding lessons learned into future maintenance strategies.
- Champion a strong health, safety, and wellbeing culture, ensuring maintenance activities are delivered in line with approved safe systems of work and company standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
