Location

Farnborough HQ (Hybrid working can be agreed)

Working Hours

5-5-4 Shift Pattern, rotating Days & Nights


Gama Aviation has an exciting new opportunity for a Maintenance Control Centre Coordinator to join our Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) team at our site in Farnborough. Our MCC provides a continuous service to cover 24/7/365 to airlines operating Embraer E170 / A320 / B737 Series and all types of Business Jet aircraft, to maintain and ensure the airworthiness of their fleet, both at home and away from base.

This position will work in partnership with the customer and the wider group services to provide the airline with continued airworthiness, operations, flight planning, aviation software, maintenance and design engineering. To ensure customer satisfaction and business needs are met, this position will work in unison with these teams to provide a total airworthiness and operational support solution.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend scheduled Operational Briefs, issue Operational Priorities for the Operator each day and pursue progress of each item
  • Carry out a detailed handover of the Customer fleet and open issues to the oncoming shift
  • Liaise with “on call” out of hours support team as required and requested
  • Provide daily updates on short term maintenance requirements
  • Report the AOG status for each aircraft each day as part of the Operational briefs and AOG ‘Flight Issue’ status reports
  • Interact with Operational, Continuing Airworthiness and Maintenance colleagues to ensure optimum aircraft availability, operational awareness and to exceed customer expectations
  • Review, update, maintain and report the serviceability status of the Customer Embraer E170 Fleet to the Customer, ensuring accurate and correct data is displayed
  • Receive aircraft data from Customer aircraft and update the fleet status as and when required
  • Deliver to the customer aircraft work packs and to the Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) short term work packs for proposed nightly work
  • Supply the Customer with key planning information for their E170 fleet (currently 2 aircraft), including maintenance planning for short-, medium- and long-term maintenance, out of phase and Airworthiness Directive (AD) planning, prioritisation of maintenance activities and coordination with the contracted Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO), maintenance and minimum Equipment List (MEL) dispatch control, work package assignment to Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) and coordinating aircraft changes with the Operations Control Centre (OCC)
  • Coordination with Original Equipment Manufacturers
  • Direct reporting to the Head of Maintenance Management & Advisory Services and liaising with the Head of Aviation Delivery
  • Direct liaison with the Customer Technical Team

Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:

Essential

  • Wealth of experience working in an aviation engineering / airworthiness environment
  • Possess strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate technical issues to engineers and flight crew in a clear manner
  • Sound cost awareness within continued airworthiness and maintenance
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines in an efficient manner
  • Developed analytical and investigative skills, maintaining accuracy and output
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills as well as a proactive team member

Advantageous

  • MCC and/or Line Maintenance experience
  • Good understanding of Part 145, Part M / CAMO and OTAR’s regulations
  • Holds an unrestricted UK CAA Part 66 Licence Category B1
