Maintenance Engineer

Location

West of England (Field Based)

Covering: Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and surrounding areas

Role Overview

You will play a key role in helping us achieve this by carrying out a range of practical maintenance and environmental services, either individually or as part of a team. This includes waste handling, grounds maintenance, removals, and general cleansing duties, always ensuring a high standard of customer service and safe working practices.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carry out waste removal, grounds maintenance, removals, and general cleansing duties across void and occupied properties
  • Ensure all areas are left clean, safe, and free from debris following each visit
  • Use cleaning equipment and machinery safely and in line with training and procedures
  • Complete waste collection, transport, and disposal in accordance with relevant guidelines
  • Support routine maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment, reporting any faults or hazards
  • Complete accurate records and documentation as required
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures, safeguarding responsibilities, and organisational standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Confident and capable of driving vehicles up to 3,500kg
  • Experience in general cleaning duties and waste clearance
  • Comfortable using cleaning equipment and machinery
  • NVQ or BICSc cleaning qualifications (desirable)
  • Understanding of COSHH (desirable) and safe use of cleaning equipment
  • Ability to use mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones
  • Experience operating tools and equipment such as:
    • Pressure washers
    • Floor scrubber dryers and rotary machines
    • Wet vacuums
    • Strimmers, hedge cutters, brush cutters, lawn mowers, rotavators
    • Reach & wash / gutter cleaning systems
  • Competent using email and basic IT systems
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to manage travel requirements

Additional Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Ability to pass a DBS check
