About The Role

We are recruiting for Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to join our expanding team based at our site in Howden. The candidate will work a combination of mornings and afternoons on rotating shift pattern.

The salary for this position ranges between £ 40,500 - £43,500 + Shift Allowance depending on the experience.

Main Responsibilities

  • To carry out planned and reactive maintenance
  • Fault finding, PLC, troubleshooting and maintaining, repairing conveyor systems, equipment and plant using all engineering disciplines to ensure minimum lost production time
  • To follow up any faults picked up on PPM’s
  • Take ownership for working area; monitor key maintenance KPI's such as breakdowns and have a strong service-department mind set towards the operation's
  • Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner
  • To proactively work towards the continued success and support of the business with a can-do attitude

About You

Desired Skills and Knowledge

  • Minimum Level 3 Qualification in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering (Required)
  • 18th Edition with valid IEE regulations (Desirable)
  • Welding/Fabricating experience (Desirable)
  • Understanding of PLC systems (Desirable)
  • An ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge
  • Problem solving and team working skills
  • To think on your own initiative
