Maintenance Engineer
Maintenance Engineer (Mobile Role)
Location: Central London (Mobile)
Salary Range: £40,000 – £45,000 + Benefits
The Role
As part of our regional mobile team, you will support the efficient delivery of both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities across a portfolio of sites in London. This role offers a varied workload, ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed in line with contractual SLA requirements.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
This role is for a Maintenance Engineer who is competent to deliver high-quality maintenance to SFG20 standards, and reactive repairs across multiple disciplines:
Key Specialisations (Subject to Training & Qualifications)
- Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & HVAC equipment, including:
- FCU, VRF, VAV (both electric and pneumatic)
- AHU filters, motors, belts, and safety/temperature equipment
- LTHW, HWS & CHW circulation pumps
- Installation and maintenance of valves (isolation valves, TMVs, PRVs, NRVs, drain cocks)
- Sprinklers & Fire alarm (weekly testing)
- Calorifiers, water heaters, and safety devices (e.g., pressure vessels)
- Lighting & Emergency Lighting
- Basic Plumbing tasks (ball valves, toilet systems, control valves, taps)
- Minor Electrical Maintenance (LED replacement, component replacement)
- HSG274 Water Hygiene Tasks (closed-loop and domestic systems)

Key Focus Areas
- Deliver and demonstrate Atlas Workplace Services competencies to the highest standard.
- Undertake delivery of PPM and minor works across the portfolio.
- Maintain clear communication between the Client, Customer, and Team.
- Target 100% customer satisfaction.
- Provide technical support, advice, and guidance to Customers & internal Teams.
- Ensure best value for money by verifying appropriate resources and materials.
- Guarantee all works comply with Atlas standards and safety protocols.
- Produce accurate time/material details to support quotation processes.
- Liaise with Account Coordinators, Schedulers, Management, and sub-contractors.
- Update the Maximo system and submit accurate time recordings via timesheets.
- Take ownership of work quality and customer service excellence.
- Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota as required.
Essential Requirements
- GCSE in English and Maths (or equivalent).
Desirable Requirements
- Accredited Health & Safety qualification (e.g., IOSH Working Safely).
- City & Guilds BS7671 – 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- City & Guilds 2391 (Test and Inspect Electrical qualification).
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, HVAC, or Building Services.
- Legionella (L8) training.
- Hot Water Systems and Safety (HWSS) – G3 Unvented.
- City & Guilds TMV (Thermostatic Mixing Valve) Service, Commissioning & Maintenance.
