What you’ll be doing
You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of communication systems. Conducting maintenance and repairs. Identify and troubleshoot faults and implement corrective measures to minimize downtime. The works will include maintaining hardware such as CCTV, PAVA, Radio, RFOF Repeater systems, UPS, switches, supporting optical and copper cabling plus bespoke equipment. This may also require updating software and firmware if/when required to keep systems secure and up to date. Documenting activities and coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure seamless communication across the organisation. Supporting uninterrupted, secure, and efficient information flow.

You will be responsible for…
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair communication systems, this may include CCTV, PAVA, Radio, UPS, Switches plus bespoke equipment.
- Maintenance and fault finding RFOF repeater systems.
- Test and fault find optical and copper cable systems.
- Monitor system performance resolve issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform tests and maintenance checks.
- Configure and update system hardware and software if required.
- Document all procedures, configurations, and incidents where applicable.
- Provide technical support as needed.
- Maintain inventory of communication hardware and spare parts where applicable.

What we need from you
- Permanent Employee

- A full driving licence
- Flexible availability during specified weeks periods (clarification during interview stage if this is required)
What skills & experience you’ll bring to us
- Knowledge of communication systems and how they function.
- System understanding, including but not limited to:
- CCTV (Control and Workstation Sub-systems)
- PA/VA Systems
- Switches (Cisco, HP) Strong IP understanding.
- Radio systems (GSM-R, ACRL, LFB, PCR)
- RF over Fibre repeater systems
- Telephony Systems
- Customer Information System
- Fibre Optic
- Copper cabling
