Site Maintenance Engineer
£50,000 + Company Benefits Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm (Enhanced overtime rates)
We’re looking for a hands-on Site Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team responsible for maintaining and improving large-scale heating and industrial plant rooms across multiple sites.
About the Role
This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll be working on plant equipment in commercial environments, carrying out maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and helping improve system performance and reliability.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned maintenance on mechanical plant equipment (e.g., pumps, valves, heat exchangers, pressurisation units)
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs across heating and plant systems
- Responding to breakdowns and restoring services as quickly as possible
- Supporting small projects and plant upgrades
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with procedures
- Keeping accurate maintenance records and reports
- Taking part in an on-call rota

Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working in plant rooms or similar environments
- Experience maintaining commercial mechanical systems (heating, pumps, pipework)
- Understanding of fault finding and repair on plant equipment
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Gas, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical discipline Note: "xlqdzyr" appears to be a placeholder or typo; listed qualifications likely include variations such as commercial gas, plumbing, or mechanical engineering.
- Willingness to work towards or hold commercial gas qualifications Ideal roles include: Commercial Gas Engineer, HVAC Technician, HVAC Engineer, Mechanical Plant Engineer, CHP Engineer, Gas Technician, Heating Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Mechanical & Electrical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or Generator Engineer
