Maintenance Engineer: Clevedon, North Somerset
GBP 52,000 - GBP 53,700, Monday - Friday, 1 weekend in 4 with time off in the week
- Overtime 1.5 Monday - Friday, Double time for weekend, Bank holiday double time + time in lieu
- 9 Pension scheme
- Life Insurance 4x salary
- 25 days holiday + B/H
- Option to buy or sell 5 days holiday
- Company sick pay scheme
About the Role
Our client is a leading manufacturer dedicated to producing products of the highest quality. With a strong order book and over GBP 9 million of investment going into the factory and growth into various export markets, they are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Planned Maintenance inspections, review parts used
- Recommend improvements in line with projects and maintenance schedules, carry out safety checks on a range of equipment
- Monitor plant conditions, report defects, repair of machinery
- Generate and maintain compliance to SOPs, risk assessments
- Report on plant performance using systems, ensure action on non-conformance issues
- Working on a range of valves and pumps
- Supporting production and continuous improvement projects

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Formal Engineering Qualification: C and G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained
- Continuous improvement knowledge
- Strong knowledge of good engineering standards
- Experience in food, packaging, drink, manufacturing environments
