The Role
The Maintenance Engineer will:
- Liaise and supervise contractors and third-party providers
- Lead and support repairs of breakdowns, escalating issues to management
- Create and implement maintenance schedules to ensure compliance and efficiency
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Work across all TechPoint sites to support compliance, including:
- Electrical appliance testing (PAT) & retention of asset records
- Hands-on repairs and maintenance for all site services & equipment
- Manage contractors via Permit to Work (PTW) & engagement processes
- Develop and implement a maintenance schedule using a CMMS system
- Collaborate with all TechPoint sites, prioritising tasks in a timely manner and escalating issues appropriately
- Build strong relationships with local contractors & FM service providers
- Raise Purchase Orders via procurement, ensuring cost-effectiveness and budget adherence
- Support plant relocations and equipment installations (FM & SMT)

About You
Experience
- Proven facilities or maintenance experience, with an electrical bias (BS7671:2018 18th Edition standards preferred)
- IOSHH (Interaction of Occupation, Safety, and Health) certification required
- Knowledge of surface mount equipment maintenance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for relationship management, safety coordination, and budget oversight
