Job Description

Responsible for completing planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance tasks, alongside equipment improvements. Provide feedback on completed work and ensure root cause analysis and follow-up action.

  • Ensure tasks are completed on time and align with company objectives
  • Attend breakdowns and minimise downtime
  • Monitor and record downtime for improvement analysis
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of control systems and circuitry
  • Collaborate closely with Shift Supervisors and Manufacturing Managers to meet production goals
  • Undertake engineering appraisals to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions
  • Contribute to the site asset condition register to inform future investments
  • Log detailed feedback into the CMMS system daily
  • Source and manage required parts, supplies, and repair items
  • Maintain inventory of routine parts and conduct necessary maintenance/repairs
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure compliance with security requirements, policies, and procedures
  • Prepare purchase orders for parts as needed

Additional Duties:

  • Manage general housekeeping of the workshop and stores
  • Obtain general utility readings
  • Conduct weekly fire alarm testing
  • Respond to callouts as required, including alliances with FLT/Mobile Platform teams
  • Oversee contractors to ensure compliance with site security and policies

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • Formal apprenticeship or equivalent in electrical/ mechanical (e.g., HND/HNC, City & Guilds 17th Edition (electrical))
  • High standard of technical knowledge in electrical or mechanical systems
  • Valid FLT/Mobile Platform licences (where applicable)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six Sigma Green Belt (Black Belt preferred)
  • Degree-level qualification in engineering or a relevant field
  • Experience in pneumatics and hydraulics
