Multi:Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: GBP53,000
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Days and Nights, 6am-6pm)
Hours: 42 per week

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for keeping production running smoothly? We're looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team and play a key role in maintaining and improving our manufacturing operations.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure the continuous running of production by eliminating downtime through safe, logical fault-finding and maintenance.
  • Work on a variety of equipment, including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
  • Carry out planned and reactive engineering activities on-site.

What We're Looking For

  • Apprentice-trained in a similar position (ideal).
  • Electrical qualifications such as C and G 2320 P1 and P2, ONC, NVQ 3, 18th Edition or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Practical, hands-on approach with experience in:
    • Electrical fault finding and defect rectification.
    • Routine maintenance activities.
    • Mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics (advantageous).
  • Ability to diagnose maintenance problems and provide accurate recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with operatives and team leaders.
  • PLC knowledge is a plus.
