An established manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team. This is a hands-on role responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of a busy production facility.

Working closely with production teams and external contractors, you will be responsible for maintaining site equipment, reducing downtime, improving reliability, and ensuring planned maintenance activities are completed effectively.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys taking ownership of maintenance activities and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities in line with agreed schedules.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Respond to breakdowns and support the team in minimising production downtime.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Review and improve maintenance strategies to increase equipment reliability.
  • Manage engineering spares and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Ensure the workshop, tools and equipment are maintained to a high standard.
  • Support and coach production operators with routine maintenance activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve plant performance and reduce downtime.
  • Provide flexibility to support breakdown situations, staff cover and other reasonable engineering requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
