Contract Role for Multi-Skilled Engineer

Contract role for Multi-Skilled Engineer with a good background in machine repair and service. You'll join a fast-moving production environment for an established aerospace company in Newton Abbot, on a contract due to commence mid-August. Level 3 qualifications in mechanical or electrical are required and in return is a competitive rate working day shift.

  • Mid-August Start / 8 Week initially

Hourly Rate

  • A GBP 28 - 30/hr PAYE
  • A GBP 38 - 40/hr LCC (Outside IR35)
  • A GBP 38 - 40/hr Umbrella

Hours

8am - 4.30pm

What You Will Do

  • Bring mechanical and electrical skillsets to the day-to-day delivery of engineering tasks as a Multi-Skilled Engineer
  • Assist with planned activity over an initial 8-week contract period, ensuring quality and attention to detail throughout.
  • Maintain safe working practices and follow site procedures while completing multi-discipline work.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on task handovers and keep work moving efficiently, using a practical, can-do approach.
  • Support completion of assigned duties on time, keeping the engineering flow steady and reliable.

What Is Required

  • Need to show evidence of competence/experience in working on production machinery
  • Level 3 Mechanically or Electrically Qualified with certs
  • Proven machine maintenance background
  • Experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer with both mechanical and electrical capabilities.
  • Ability to work with focus across a full 8-week assignment, starting mid-August.
