Multi:Skilled Engineer
Day shift role, our client is seeking a Multi:Skilled Engineer to lead the maintenance, repair and service of production machinery on site. Excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer with a good mechanical aptitude and strong electrical fault:finding skills seeking a role where they can take ownership of maintenance activities at a busy and productive site.
Hours of work: Day Shift Monday to Friday (Early finish on Friday)
Location: Telford
Salary: A GBP 40,000 to A GBP 45,000 depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of day:to:day maintenance activities across production operations.
- Carry out mechanical and electrical fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain filling lines, blending equipment, pumps, conveyors, pneumatic systems and associated production machinery.
- Diagnose and resolve breakdowns to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.
- Manage engineering spare parts inventory and ensure critical spares are maintained.
- Source and order parts, also consumables required for maintenance activities.
- Installation, commissioning and improvement of new machinery and plant.
- Assist with PLC fault finding and work alongside external automation providers.
- Lead minor engineering projects from concept through to completion.

Required Experience And Qualifications
- Relevant electrical qualifications: C and G, BTEC or NVQ.
- Experience fault:finding electrical systems, motors, sensors, contactors and industrial machinery.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
- Experience with pneumatics and production equipment.
- PLC fault:finding experience would be advantageous.
- Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.
