Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Maintenance Engineer role based in Lochore. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for performing routine and reactive maintenance on bakery production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, completing preventive maintenance schedules, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime. The role involves working closely with production teams, documenting maintenance activities, and adhering to health and safety standards. The Maintenance Engineer will also assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and general site maintenance as required.

  • Strong skills in Maintenance Engineering, Equipment Maintenance, and Maintenance & Repair for production or industrial machinery.
  • Experience implementing Preventive Maintenance programs and schedules to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life.
  • Competence in Electrical Maintenance, including fault-finding and basic electrical repairs in a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety practices, with the ability to work safely in a busy food production facility.
  • Relevant technical qualification in engineering, maintenance, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and manuals, use diagnostic tools, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks under time pressure.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with flexibility to work different shifts or overtime when required.
