Maintenance Engineer – Reتمent Position Lineage Logistics, Competitive Salary
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to tackle both reactive and preventative maintenance across our electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Key Details
- Shift pattern: Mon–Fri, alternating between 6am–2pm and 2pm–10pm
- Work environment: Includes time in -18°C coldstore environments (PPE provided); occasional ladder work at height
Core Responsibilities

Fault Diagnosis & Repairs
- Rapidly identify and resolve faults in mechanical, electrical, cranes, conveyors, refrigeration, and plant utilities, implementing long-term fixes.
- Minimise downtime to maintain operational flow.

Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Execute scheduled maintenance tasks to extend equipment life.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, delivering high-quality work efficiently.

Coldstore System Integrity
- Monitor temperature thresholds and support refrigeration schedules.
- Report deviations or anomalies immediately to leadership.

Key Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications:
- Recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, ONC/HNC, or equivalent).
- Mechanical Engineering knowledge is a plus.

Hands-On Experience:
- Proven track record in maintenance roles, with preference for experience in:
- Refrigeration systems.
- Mobile racking (warehouse environments ideal).
- Food or temperature-controlled logistics contexts.

Technical & Soft Skills:
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities across electro-mechanical systems.
- Deep familiarity with food safety standards, health and safety legislation, and best practices in maintenance.
- Effective communicator (English) with a proactive, adaptable mindset.
