Overview

Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire, UK

Are you ready for a hands-on engineering role where you can make a real impact?
Morgan Advanced Materials is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Technical Ceramics business in Stourport-on-Severn. In this role, you'll work to keep our manufacturing equipment running efficiently and reliably, helping us meet our commitments to customers across a range of industries.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will:

  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain and repair production machinery, including kilns, grinders, ball mills, and compressors, across mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC systems.
  • Install and Commission: Set up and commission equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Carry out general building and facilities maintenance tasks, including heating, lighting, and IT troubleshooting.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Support planned maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Safety and Compliance: Contribute to a positive safety culture, adhering to EHS standards and participating in near-miss reporting and incident investigations.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:
We’re looking for practical problem-solvers with strong technical skills. Key requirements include:

Essential:

  • Mechanical maintenance experience and electrical qualifications (to 17th edition).
  • C&G 236 Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Apprenticeship or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems (e.g., Mitsubishi, Siemens).
  • A hands-on approach and a commitment to safety and quality.

Desirable:

  • Background in maintaining production machinery.
  • Comfortable working at heights (cherry picker licence is a bonus).
  • Knowledge of manual handling and health and safety regulations.
